After 48 incredible years, Jim Williams will be retiring from coaching. We will be holding a reception for Jim, Tuesday, July 12 at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center. This is the same night as the MCSL Coaches Long Course Meet. We will begin after the conclusion of the meet in conference room "A". We would like to invite any and all coaches, former swimmers and parents to see Jim.
Sarah Haase put American breastrokers on notice this evening as she raced to the win at the Arena Pro Series in Santa Clara California. She scorched a lifetime best 1:06.31 in prelims of the women’s 100 breast this morning. Haase was off the mark in finals, winning the event in 1:07.05. Haase now ranks 8th in the world this year, and 3rd in the USA. With Olympic Trials around the corner, the sky could be the limit...
Coach Brian Cheng has been voted the 2016 Potomac Valley Age Group Coach of the Year! We are deeply proud of Brian and his accomplishments this season. Brian's recognition came throughout a tremendous year by all of this swimmers. His season was highlighted as three members of his group represented RMSC on three separate National Age Group(NAG) relay records.
Brian joins a exceptional group of past winners including RMSC's own Dave Greene, Dave Kraft and Kent Williams. Brian will be honored at the 2016 ASCA World Clinic in September.
