Two RMSC swimmers traveled to compete at the highest-level meet in the country, the Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships, held July 31-August 4 in Stanford, California. Ryan Vipavetz and Alex Colson got the meet off to a great start in the 200 fly, both qualifying for finals. Ryan finished 19th in a 17-18 team record 1:59.32, and Alex finished 31st in 2:00.56, both clearing the 2020 Olympic Trials qualifying standard. Alex also set a new 17-18 team record in 200 IM in 2:07.47, and recorded a best time in 100 fly in 54.45. Ryan added a best time in 100 fly of 55.39, and also competed in 200, 400, and 800 free at the meet.
