COVID-19 RMSC News

RMSC Families,

Montgomery County Recreation appreciates your patience as we determine the best move forward for our swimmers.  The recent announcement of schools and aquatic facilities being closed until April 24, has lead to the following decisions regarding our RMSC program.

For anyone requesting a pro-rated refund for the remaining portion of the season, you must email rec.aquatics@montgomerycountymd.gov by April 20, 2020.  Any swimmer who opts for a refund, will need to attend try-outs (held in July) to secure a spot in the 2020-2021 RMSC Program.  Please provide your swimmers name, pool/site, and group name in your refund request.

If you do not request a refund, a pro-rated credit will be applied to your account based on the date swimmers return to the water.

Swimmers graduating from our program (current High School Seniors), who remain till the end of the season, will received a pro-rated credit based on the date swimmers return to the water. As a graduating Senior if you would prefer the pro-rated credit to be refunded at the end of the season please send an email to rec.aquatics@montgomerycountymd.gov with the subject line "RMSC Graduating Senior Refund" by April 20, 2020.  You must also include your swimmers name, pool/site and group name in your email.

The Spring Long Course Meet originally scheduled for May 1 - 3 will not be held. However, we are working to find alternate dates to hold the event.  More information will be shared as it becomes known.

Our goal is have swimmers in the water as quickly as possible.

Please check www.rmscswimming.org and www.mocorec.com for updated information regarding re-opening after April 24.

Stay Well,

Montgomery County Recreation Aquatics
