Three swimmers travelled to Huntsville, AL on August 10-14 for the NCSA Summer Swimming Championships. Due to the distance and dates of the meet, we did not have a big contingent at our usual longcourse Junior National meet, but the swimmers had a great meet there.
Madison Smith led the way with a 1st place finish in 400 free (4:17.31) that broke the RMSC 15-16 and Senior team records. She also broke 15-16 and Senior team records with her 3rd place finish in 1500 free (17:01.06). She added a 3rd in 200 free, a 7th in 800 free, and had best times in 100 free and 100 fly. Jed Garner also broke a pair of 15-16 team records with his 3rd place finish in 200 breast (2:19.57) and 6th place finish in 100 breast (1:05.63). He also finished top 24 in 50 breast, and recorded best times in 200 IM and 400 IM. Nikita Bityutskiy had a top 24 finish in 200 fly, and best times in 100 back, 200 back, 100 fly, and 200 IM
